Motorola EX-212 Gleam Dual SIM Mobile in India

Motorola Mobiles have launched a new Dual SIM mobile phone in India named as Motorola Gleam and also known as Motorola EX 212. The new cell phone from Motorola has a clamshell design and weighs quiet light. The phone provides with the most basic multimedia and connectivity features but lacks the ones like EDGE and 3G and WI-Fi. The phone has a stylish design and shinny looks. It is available in black and red colors at the moment. Motorola EX212 Gleam Price in India is Rs.4,600

Size and Design:
The clamshell designed cell phone has a mini screen on the outside when closed. The phone weighs is 106mm in length and with its sleek design just 53mm wide. It is a little on the thicker side with total thickness of 13.9mm but that again is quiet normal for a flip form cell phone.

Display:
When flipped open you find a nice 2.4 inch TFT display with 256K colors and resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The secondary display along with other notifications also displays the icons.

Camera:
This probably is the most attractive feature of the phone. Gleam comes with a decent 2MP camera with 1600x1200 pixels and able to record video. It doesn’t feature a secondary camera though.

Storage Capacity:
Motorola EX212 has only 5MB of internal memory but has a support memory card slot to support the external memory expansion up to 16GB.The phone book can save up to 800 entries.

Connectivity:
The phone lacks EDGE and 3G capabilities but has GPRS Class 12 that supports 32 - 48 kbps for internet browsing. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and micro USB 2.0.

Battery:
The phone has a Standard Li-Ion 750 mAH battery that is capable of providing up to 6h and 20 min of talk time and up to 500h of stand by time.

Other Features: Motorola EX 212 provides decent entertainment tools as well. It features a decent music and video player and an FM radio. MP3, WAV and eAAC formats can be played on the phone. You cab also change the casing according to your choice.

Motorola Defy vs Wildfire S Comparison

HTC Wildfire S and Motorola Defy are amongst the most popular and best selling mid range Android mobile phones in India. Defy has been quite successful and is among the only few successful phones by Motorola in India in recent times. On the other hand Wildfire S has been recently launched but its predecessor, the HTC Wildfire has been one of the best selling android mobiles in India ever. These two phones have much in common, so I thought of presenting this comparison.

Size and Design:
Both phones have economical design but still ruggedly built. Wildfire S is quiet small in size compared to Defy predominantly because of the difference is size of the display. Wildfire S is also slimmer than Motorola Defy with a thickness of 12.4mm compared to 13.4mm and also lighter than its competitor weighing only 105g in contrast to 118g of Motorola Defy. The better design and stylish looks of Wildfire S makes it stand out in this little battle.

Display:
Wildfire S comes with a TFT capacitive touchscreen with 256k color support, the screen size is 3.2inch. Motorola Defy has a large, 3.7 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M color support. Larger screen size, better resolution and color support means that Motorola Defy has a clear advantage when it comes to display.

Processor and OS:
Motorola Defy features 800MHz Cortex-A8 processor while Wildfire S has only 600Mhz of processing power. As far as the operating system is concerned, Defy has the oldest Android 2.2(Éclair) which can be upgraded to Android 2.2(Froyo) whereas Wildfire features the latest Android 2.3(Gingerbread).

Camera:
Both the smart phones features a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and resolution of 2592х1944 pixels. Motor Defy has a slight advantage though, it is able to record VGA video at 30fps compared to 24fps recording by the competitor Defy also has the image stabilization feature unlike Wildfire S. Both cameras also feature geo-tagging.

Storage Capacity:
Wildfire S features a 512MB of ROM and same amount of RAM whereas defy has a greater 2GB of internal storage and 512MB f RAM to go with it. Both phones support micro SD card up to 32GB to extend the storage capacity.

Final Verdict and Price:
Wildfire S has better design and looks and also has the latest Android OS but Motorola Defy a slightly better display, camera performance, processing power and storage capacity. With both the phones far behind the latest Android smart phones in terms of performance user is likely to get attracted to one with least price and as it comes out HTC Wildfire S prices much lower at around Rs.13,399 compared to RS15499 of Motorola Defy.

HTC Sensation vs Galaxy S2 vs Optimus 2X vs Motorola Atrix

It's time for a dual-core duel. All of these phones have dual-core processors, and all run Google's Android operating system. We've had our hands on these multi-core monsters, so how are they shaping up?

The Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core CPU, which is in the LG Optimus 2X and Motorola Atrix, is a graphics master, so expect whizzy user interfaces and mind-melting games on these phones. There's even an Android app from Nvidia dedicated to serving up games that have been specifically designed to take advantage of its two-headed chip.

We've yet to benchmark the dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip that's in the HTC Sensation, or the Samsung CPU that powers the Samsung Galaxy S 2, so we'll have to wait and see how they stack up to the Tegra 2.
But before you start enjoying your two tonnes of fun, you have to choose which phone is right for you. So, on to the contenders.

HTC Sensation

The HTC Sensation looks much like HTC's previous phones, especially the HTC Desire S. Although that dulls our excitement, there's more than enough promise under the hood to have us feeling the Sensation again.
HTC's Android skin, HTC Sense 3.0, is one of the few manufacturer interfaces we surely recommend, because it adds useful features and looks good doing it. The user interface is fancier than ever on the Sensation, taking advantage of the dual-core processor, running at 1.2GHz, to power 3D transitions and animations everywhere. It looks impressive, but we hope it doesn't sap the phone's strength and leave nothing for the apps and games that really matter.
The Sensation also manages to pack a 4.3-inch screen -- the same size as the huge HTC Desire HD -- into a rounded case that doesn't feel as heavy or chunky.

Samsung Galaxy S 2

We have such a crush on the Samsung Galaxy S 2 we've put up posters of it in our locker. The Galaxy S 2 is fabulously good looking. Its huge 4.3-inch touchscreen is bright and sharp, but the phone remains surprisingly light. It may be too big for small hands, though, and it's also likely to stretch your pockets with its price.
When it was announced, the Galaxy S 2's processor was going to clock in at 1GHz. Since then, Samsung has confirmed that the phone will run at 1.2GHz, just like the Sensation.
Whether our crush turns into true love depends on the Galaxy S 2's software. The original Galaxy S only achieved true greatness after a couple of software updates. Samsung's syncing software, Kies 2.0, also has an awful lot of begging to do before we forgive its unstable first version.

LG Optimus 2X

LG's dual-core contender impressed us with its 1GHz dual-core speed, aceing our CPU and 3D benchmarks compared to the top single-core competition.
We weren't so chuffed, however, with the pre-loaded apps that led us to accuse it of being the first smart phone with bloatware. The Optimus 2X also drew our ire for having some software bugs, including flaky Wi-Fi. The phone has since received an update, so fingers crossed some of its failings have been sorted.

Motorola Atrix

The Motorola Atrix adds some innovative accessories to take advantage of its dual-core power. A wafer-thin laptop dock adds a big screen, and launches a different operating system on the phone, which includes the Firefox Web browser. There's also a dock for connecting the phone to your telly over HDMI, with yet another user interface that's optimised for using a remote control.
It's tricky to wrap your head around, but not to worry -- even if you don't invest in its many accessories, the Atrix still has plenty to recommend it. Like the Sensation, it has a 540x960-pixel screen -- more than the 480x800 pixels of most smart-phone displays. In person, the phone itself is fairly bland-looking, but the screen looks stunningly sharp.
We're not big fans of Motorola's Motoblur skin, though. We appreciate its features under the hood, which include being able to track your phone over the Web when it gets lost. But its boldly coloured icons and chunky widgets rub our design sense the wrong way.

All these phones are expected to be just under Rs. 30,000.
With Motorola Atrix launch being delayed, We are all set upto the new war - Dual Core CPU War on mobile phones.. But hey, I think we have heard of this war earlier...

Let's go 6 yrs down the lane, when you're standing in a computer shop, getting your CPU assembled as per your taste... Remember what was hot selling that time? - It was the new Core2Duo processor...Now we can all think where our mobile technology going..!!!

Motorola Xoom has the screen size of 10.1 inches, 800 x 1280 pixels display screen whereas iPad 2 has 9.7 inches display screen.

Camera is one of the main features which is not present in iPad. Motorola Xoom has a better camera with 5-megapixel rear camera and 2.megapixel front camera. Apple iPad2 has 0.7 megapixel rear camera and VGA front camera.

Audio:
Xoom features stereo speakers. Nevertheless, iPad 2 has good audio quality

Card slot:
